DENR 8 welcomes new RED

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region 8 welcomed its new Regional Executive Director (RED) Lormelyn Estrada Claudio, the first-ever female RED to lead DENR Region 8.

 

During her first Monday convocation program with DENR 8, RED Claudio encouraged all the employees to influence the people towards environmental protection. She emphasized that taking care of the environment is our divine mission.

 

RED Claudio also met the DENR field officials and the heads of the different divisions in the regional office including its two bureaus, the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) and the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB). She briefly discussed her plans, priorities, and agenda and sought the cooperation and support of the officials and employees on her leadership.

 

RED Claudio is a Career Service Executive Officer with a rank of CESO IV. She is a native of Isabela and was the RED of DENR Region IV-B (MIMAROPA) before she assumed as RED of DENR 8 by virtue of DENR Special Order No. 2023-418 dated July 6, 2023. She has been serving the Department for more than three decades.
