The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) held its 4th Regional Management Conference (RMC) in Calbayog City which was hosted by the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO)- Samar. Discussed and reviewed during the conference were the office's 2022 accomplishments vis-a-vis its targets and the issues and concerns encountered by the field offices in implementing the Department's programs and projects.

DENR VIII Regional Executive Director Arturo E. Fadriquela lauded the men and women of DENR VIII for their exemplary performance in accomplishing the office's targets for the year. He underscored the importance of communication in addressing the issues and concerns of the office and reminded the DENR officials to strengthen collaboration with partners.

Director Fadriquela also thanked the office of the Representative of Samar's 1st Congressional District and the Office of the Mayor of Calbayog City for gracing the event and for expressing their full support to DENR programs and projects.

The 3-day conference held in Calbayog City was capped off with a tree planting activity in Brgy. San Policarpo, Calbayog. Attendees to the 4th RMC composed of the RED, ARDs, RD MGB and Division Chiefs, EMB RD, PENROs and their Division Chiefs, CENROs, and Regional Office Division Chiefs planted mangroves in support of the National Greening Program.
