PADYAK PARA SA KALIKASAN

DENR Eastern Visayas kicked-off the celebration of the Climate Change Consciousness Week with a cycling and tree planting activity dubbed as "Padyak para sa Kalikasan: Sama-samang Pagtugon sa Hamon Panahon."

The event brought together over one hundred (100) volunteers who braved the incessant rain in Tacloban City just to join the planting activity. They planted around four hundred (400) beach forest seedlings in Brgy. 70, Anibong, Tacloban City.

The Padyak para sa Kalikasan tree planting and cycling activity was organized by the DENR Regional Office, Environmental Management Bureau (EMB), and the Tacloban City Environment and Natural Resources Office (City ENRO). It was participated by volunteers from the BLGU of Brgy. 70 Tacloban, Tacloban City Airsheds, Tacloban City Environment and Natural Resources Office, Land Transportation Office 8, Volunteer for the Visayans, Petron Tacloban, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., SM Savemore Tacloban, Coca-cola Beverages Philippines, Inc., Eastern Visayas State University, BJMP, Fishery Law Enforcement Team, Philippine Red Cross- Leyte Chapter, Jollibee Foods Corporation, and volunteer bikers.
