Proclamation No.470, series of 2003 declares the third Saturday of September of each year as the International Coastal Clean-up (ICC) day in observance of the global coastal clean-up celebrations.

ICC is the largest volunteer effort for the environment in which information collected during the clean-up is used to educate people and create solutions to the problems of solid waste and litter in our coastal areas.

This year’s theme, “Understand and Beat Marine Pollution” aims to create a broader understanding of land and sea-based pollution and its potential impacts on human health and ocean ecosystems and develop solutions to reduce or mitigate.
