Pursuant to Special Order No. 2021-214 signed by Regional Executive Director Tirso P. Parian, Jr., Forester Lea O. Torres assumes as the Officer-in-Charge of the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer (PENRO) of Eastern Samar. Said Special Order was released following the compulsory retirement from the government service of former Eastern Samar PENR Officer Delia Benitez. Prior to PENRO Torres’ new assignment, she was the Community Environment and Natural Resources Officer (CENRO) of Borongan. The post she vacated was assumed by Forester Eugene B. Mozo, Supervising Management Specialist of PENRO Leyte, designated as Officer-in Charge of CENRO Borongan also by virtue of S.O. No. 2021-214.

The newly assigned officials of DENR Eastern Samar expressed thanks for the trust and confidence accorded to them by the management and solicited for the personnel’s full support towards working as team.

The installation and turn-over ceremony was graced and officiated by the Assistant Regional Director for Management Services Arturo N. Salazar.
