The Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) in Leyte through its Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) Palo contracted thirty (30) families in Burauen, Leyte as partners in the implementation of the Enhanced National Greening program (ENGP) ‘family approach’ from 2021-2023. Recently, these families received P337,319.40. This amount covers 15% of their project cost for the first year amounting to over three million pesos. During the first year of their 3-year contract, families shall undertake activities under comprehensive site development such as production of seedlings and establishment of 216 hectares NGP plantation in the municipality of Burauen.
