To enhance employees’ readiness and test the disaster preparedness of the office especially during the occurrence of an unpredictable earthquake, the Community Environment and Natural Resources (CENRO) Pambujan conducted an earthquake drill for its personnel in coordination with LGU Pambujan’s Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Office (MDRRMO) and elements of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) which acted as facilitators.

During the simulation exercise, employees were taught to ensure their safety through duck, cover and hold tips. Search and rescue operations were also simulated as part of the aftermath of disasters.

After the drill, suggestions for CENRO Pambujan to install alarm system and designate a Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officer (DRRMO) were given by the facilitators as inputs to its emergency action plan.
