DENR RO, PENRO Northern Samar conduct IEC to the youth

To spread awareness on the different programs, projects and campaigns of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), the DENR Regional Office VIII in partnership with the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Northern Samar, Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) Catarman and the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) of San Isidro, Northern Samar conducted an Information Education and Communication (IEC) campaign in San Isidro Agro-Industrial School, San Isidro, Northern Samar.

Highlights of the IEC campaign include Presidential Decree (PD) No. 705 or the Forestry Code of the Philippines, the DENR Administrative Order (DAO) 97-32, Republic Act No. 9003 or the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000 and the campaign for Tayo ang Kalikasan (TAK).

Members of the Barangay Council, SK Officials and some students of SIAIS attended the activity and were invited to join the Tayo ang Kalikasan movement of the DENR.
