PENRO Biliran has recently released back to the wild three (3) white-eared brown doves (Phapiteron Leucotis) and one (1) Brahminy Kite (Haliastur Indus).

The brown doves were turned-over to PENRO Biliran-Forest Protection and Law Enforcement team by Carlito Modesyo, 45-year old resident of Sitio Salug, Poblacion, Almeria, Biliran. Prior to their release, the doves were brought by the team to the PENRO’s Wildlife Rescue Center (PBWRC) for temporary shelter. The doves were released in a forested area in Almeria, Biliran.

On the other hand, the Brahminy Kite was turned over to PENRO Biliran by a local resident who captured the bird when it entered their backyard. It has been in temporary shelter at the PBWRC since January 19, 2021 prior to its release in a forested area in Naval, Biliran.
