CENRO Ormoc Released a 15% Mobilization Payment to 94 Family Partners

               The CENRO Ormoc has established 757 hectares of forest land for reforestation and rehabilitation under the Enhanced National Greening Program (eNGP) thru the adaptation of the Family Approach as a mode of engagement in plantation development. The 94 family partners were from Albuera, Ormoc, Capoocan, Merida, Villaba and Leyte-Leyte. They are classified as a poor, low-income class, lower-middle-income, or middle-middle income class based on data published by National Economic Development Authority.

A 15% mobilization payment was successfully released to our 94 Family Partners as preparatory work necessary for seedling production and plantation establishment. The following is the list of sites per project cost and municipality.
 
      MUNICIPALITY OF ALBUERA: (174 HECTARES)
      1. Total amount disbursed of 15% Mobilization of fruit trees: Php 117,000.00
      2. Total amount disbursed of 15% Mobilization of Indigenous: Php 345,600.00

CENRO Palo joins the momentous celebration of World Wetlands Day headed by the OIC CENR Officer, Forester Crisostomo E. Badeo Jr., through an IEC Campaign by distributing factsheets and discussing the importance of wetlands as well as Coastal Clean-up Drive in partnership with different stakeholders -546th Engineer Construction Battalion of the Philippine Army, the BLGU of Brgy. Salvacion, Palo, Leyte, and the Cogon Fisherfolks Association. Personnel also played the official Ramsar Wetlands Memory Game and posted banner along the office’ premise. (worldwetlandsday.org)
